149.2 Another Coeur d'Alene Resort Photo

Mom, were you taking a picture of me, or of this awesome speed boat? Heh!  Good job getting both!

This is another photo of Mom and my day at the Coeur d'Alene Resort last Monday. She has been on the train sending me photos all along, but they all just arrived by email last night and this morning. Weird, but I couldn't deprive you of this great shot!

I maintained my weight perfectly yesterday at 149.2. I walked a mile in the park, shopped at Costco, and walked another 1/3 mile later with Scott. Here is what I ate:

Special K and organic soy milk
Blueberries
El Monterey beef and bean burrito with salsa
Apple, 2 tablespoons chunky peanut butter, 36 dark chocolate chips
3-bite sample of a Hagen Daz ice cream bar at Costco
Steamed broccoli and half a can of Amy's organic lentil soup
1/4 cup peanut M&Ms

149.4 Coeur d'Alene Resort

Mom and I had a spectacular day together yesterday at the Coeur d'Alene Resort! Here we are pictured with our huckleberry cheesecake. You can't see the view of the sparkly sunset lake that we had from our table here at the Dockside restaurant, but you can see the sunshine bouncing off everything! Neither of us can remember ever having a better dinner, either. We started with a salmon cake that came dressed in spinach salad. We had the bacon-wrapped meatloaf with from-scratch mash potatoes and gravy, and then this cheesecake. Mmmmm!

I lost .2 pounds somewhere between Sunday morning's post and this morning's, too! What a nice thing to come home to! Sunday for exercise I walked the dogs a mile. Yesterday, Mom and I walked all over the park and beaches by the Coeur d'Alene Resort.

I tried to swim, but I am from the Southern California desert, and Idaho is just not warm enough for me to get in the water. It wasn't yesterday, anyway. The ambient temperature was 86F, but a cool breeze came off the water. It was very pleasant for sitting in the grass and watching other people play in the water, such as this paddle surfer.

Here is what I ate yesterday:

One plate of complimentary buffet breakfast at Best Western Coeur d'Alene: eggs, sausage, home fried potatoes, cantaloupe, dry cinnamon-roll French toast, mini banana nut muffin

Small bowl of Special K and organic soy milk

Grazing cooler lunch on the lawn watching people in the water:
Half a coconut protein bar, almonds, apple slices, cheese chunks, grapes, raw baby carrots, red bell pepper slices

Half a salmon cake with mayo and spinach (yum!)
Half a meatloaf dinner with potatoes and gravy and steamed squash
Half a big slice of huckleberry cheesecake

Here is what I ate Sunday:

Special K, blueberries, and organic soy milk
Custard-filled maple donut at church fellowship
El Monterey beef and bean burrito with salsa
Raw baby carrots
Qdoba mango chicken salad in the fried tortilla shell with just a little dressing
