They are on a good fishing lake, which is where the resort and area gets its name. The resort rents fishing boats out for very reasonable prices for six hours at a time. Last I checked it was only $45, but check because it could have changed (509) 235-2284.
I am not too sure what the function of this old structure in my photo was. Scott's best guess is that it was a windmill that the resort used to use to pump excess water out of the lake in spring, to prevent the campground from flooding. If you have a better idea what its function was, then please comment and tell!
The Fishtrap area is a BLM-designated site for hunting. It is 30 miles west of Spokane, WA, and surrounds the town of Sprague, WA. See yesterday's post for a picture of the abandoned house at the exit to Fishtrap off highway 90. See my post from the day before for photos of Sprague, WA.
I lost .4 pounds yesterday. For exercise, we walked the dogs a mile and I did a few minutes on the stair stepper here and there. Here is what I ate:
Small bowl of Special K and organic soy milk
El Monterey beef and bean burrito with salsa
Trident Seafoods Alaskan Salmon patty with a tablespoon of Robert Rothschild Farm Roasted Pineapple Habanero Sauce and steamed mixed vegetables
Raw baby carrots for a snack after dinner
